Reflection
In the quiet and stillness of the morning, I sit and pause to reflect.
Reflect on who I was, where I came from, who I am and where I’m headed. All of these questions and pondering thoughts become heavy. Too much contemplation can leave you exhausted, but so many transitions, and not easy answers can be just as overwhelming.
As I said, in the quiet, I find a deep gratitude for the life I have, and the things I’ve been able to build, the people I’ve been able to meet, the places I’ve been able to go, the things I’ve been able to do. And all is marvelous, and wonderful and beautiful, and in the Lord’s greatest blessings of life, I find myself in awe.
But things feel heavy, a deep weight at the top of your chest just trying to get a breath of fresh air. in pondering all of these questions as my life was uprooted as I know it, escalating to a new adventure that is beautiful yet confusing.
And in it all, I am thankful for family, friends, and community, who keep me grounded, even if it’s far away. I am thankful for the love of the Lord and his constants in this life that doesn’t change with the shifting shadows.
If you find yourself in a time of pausing and reflection with questions, and not so many answers, you’re not alone. And always remember on the other side of the pondering, the Lord has a great purpose and plan.
Trust him always, and keep going.
