September.

A month of growth, reflection, and settling.

I truly debated sharing the cute, filtered and sweet highlights of the month as one does, but I realized this month that wouldn’t be real.

Don’t get me wrong, this month had some highlights and amazing moments spent with some amazing people doing some awesome things yet, this month was especially heavy.

This summer went by in an absolute flash. I made some very big decisions and very big moves in a very short amount of time. As time goes on and you get to fully process and reflect, you realize the depth and weight to every decision made and every moment lived under heaven.

Social media can easily only capture the sweet and edited moments that you preferred to share. But so many times that lack authenticity of the day to day. I guess that’s why I put this out there.

This last month was mentally and emotionally hard. Things that I didn’t realize I would feel post loving and newly married are beginning to surface. The weight of leaving home, the grief of goodbyes, the confusion found in finding a new community. The blessings are numerous and endless, I couldn’t be more grateful for all we have here and the wonderful person I get to go through it with, but I have so many questions. So many memories and moments I wish I could go back to without ever having to leave or say goodbye.

I miss home. I miss my family. I miss the community I knew and love. And I especially hate watching my siblings grow up and being gone.

All that to say, here, far away from what I always knew as home has tested my faith. it’s been hard to find purpose in this new season. But, in all of the weight and newfound emotions I look up at the sky and see the cross high.

The beauty of the sky displays his handiwork, his faithfulness I know that has been passed down through generations, the faithfulness that will not fail me now. The faithfulness that will carry me through any and every season of life knowing my purpose is rooted and established in his love.

The story of the cross, to crucifixion to conquering the grave as not a perfectly painted, edited Instagram one. It is the story with deep pain, deep suffering, and heavy, heavy weight. If we are honest, those similar things fill our daily life……. But…….

The story doesn’t end at the crucifixion, or the grave, it begins again in the darkest part of humanity, resurrected by risen, lord, and mighty savior. If my God can do that, he will do so many amazing things in each of our lives, even if we don’t always believe it or see it.

So here it is, the real and raw image of September. Capturing this photo several weeks ago after work I didn’t realize what God would show me through it. But I am so thankful he did.

Our God is an almighty, abundant and abounding in love. Even if leads you through the darkest parts, his glory will shine in the beauties of the sky and his heavenly kingdom forevermore.

Praise be to God🤍

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12: 1-3
