SEASONS

This season of life can be a doozy.

Wedding planning, teaching, business building, praying, growing, preparing, you get the gist of it.

This season of life is beautiful, planting the seeds and beginnings to the fruit I will later bear. The pruning, the waiting, the watering the praying.

The love and patience it takes to grow in this season of life is a humbling journey, though some days can be hard.

Some days you want to sprint to the end of your race and see the fruits of your labor, others you want to walk and soak in the beauty around you and never want it to change.

So many lasts at home make my heart heavy, but so many beginnings set my soul on fire.

Fear and trust in God have become a beautiful union. The realization that life now goes by too quickly but you don’t want to let it pass. It’s been beautiful, buts it’s becoming a doozy.

This weekend I was reminded I have been reminded by the words of Jesus in John 10:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.”

‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬-‭11‬, ‭14‬-‭16

The thief comes to steal kill and destroy my joy in this beautiful season. But the Lord comes that I might have life. And have it to the full IN HIM.

Whatever season of life you may find yourself in, remember to let yourself be and grow. Continue to pray, grow and trust and along the path don’t let the devil come and steal your joy!

Thank you for tuning to listen to my TED talk, happy Sunday friends

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12: 1-3
