Two Months Married 🤍

Today officially marks two months of sweet marriage bliss as husband and wife🕊️

These last two months have absolutely flown by. So much has happened, so much has changed. And this new season of life has me standing on the edge of my seat, marveling at the wonders of an Almighty God.

Reflecting and taking time to take it all in, has been hard lately. With so many changes, and so many sweet moments of the summer sometimes it’s too much to truly process all that God has done.

But in this new season, of becoming a wife and learning what it means to build a home on the foundations of a godly love, don’t think there has been a sweeter season than this!

I miss home a lot, I crave the community of friends, and family and mentorship I once had. I miss the dogs! But I am learning you can never replace your roots, but you can learn to grow and stretch them just a little deeper, and just a little farther to grow and find connection in the new place God has called you.

The Lord does a beautiful things and mysterious work in growing and stretching you into he wants you to be. In the growing, and the stretching and all of the sweetness I couldn’t be more thankful.

All of this to say, to have your very best friend to do every day life with is nothing short of a a beautiful God written love story. We love because he first loved us. Learning this marriage model is beautiful, but also takes patience and time to learn, and grow together each day to be one step closer to living like Christ and covenant with his church.

So, I guess you could call this my long overdue two month reflection. A reflection of the beautiful season that God has, acknowledging the change, growing and stretching my roots, establishing my footsteps in Christ, and leaning into intentionality and God-given growth.

Wherever you are, whatever season you may walk in, good or bad, growing or stretching, living and learning, laughing and loving, don’t forget to lean in just where God has you. You will be sweetly surprised how even in a changing season God knows what he’s doing as He beautifully orchestrates his love story to you!
